We've dealt with "creative wiring" issues with the thermostats and baseboard radiators in our older home in Bellvue for years. We've had two electricians here previously; one didn't do much of anything, and the other more recently just made everything worse, including shorting out a new thermostat which fried that baseboard and half the new thermostat, and caused the downstairs t-stat/baseboard on the same breaker to no longer work! Tim from Prolectric showed up on time, went straight to work, listened carefully to every specific problem we'd been having, and methodically went through them one by one, fixing every issue. Unlike the previous companies that basically mumbled and bumbled their way around, Tim explained exactly what was going on and exactly what he did to fix it. He also gave me the evidence I needed to dispute the invoice with the previous company. They're a little pricier than other companies, but it's money well spent. Prolectric was able to respond quickly to my call, and gave me input on possible causes and solutions. They were never pushy. I decided to have the main replaced, which in Loveland apparently requires a ridiculous amount of red tape to accomplish, including code inspections and permits. Prolectric handled all of it and were able to get the main replaced with a minimum of fuss (including coordinating with the inspector and city personnel involved in power cutoff). Prolectric did a great job, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I'll be calling them any time I need electrical work in the future. read less

I first contacted Prolectric, after the "repair work" done by an electrical contractor--hired by a fencing contractor that had severed... read moreI first contacted Prolectric, after the "repair work" done by an electrical contractor--hired by a fencing contractor that had severed our rural residential electrical lines not once, but twice (due to failure to locate, etc)--failed; I had returned home one night to a unexpectedly darkened house, not long after the fencing contractor had completed his work.Barry (with Prolectric) was quick to answer my questions over the phone; he then showed up on-site without delay, to help me fully assess my situation and options. He was incredibly patient with me, providing me with understandable counsel (I am NOT an Electrician. by any means!), so that I fully understood my options, and my expenses could be minimized.Once the source of the electrical outage had been revealed (exposing faulty lines +3 feet underground), Barry showed me what had failed... and why. I discussed with him, the best way to resolve the issue and prevent any recurrence; Barry's counsel again provided me with the invaluable information I needed, in order to make an informed decision.As I watched Barry repair the damage caused by the previous electrical contractor, it was reminiscent of observing an Old World Craftsman at work; his meticulous and purposeful actions, as well as his attention to detail, were truly a sight to behold!After this issue had been resolved (thanks to Barry and Prolectric!), I met with the Owner (Lou), regarding some pending projects I have; he was very personable and comfortable to talk with, and helped me better understanding the options I had available, for my impending projects. (...and this counsel did not cost me a dime!!!)While I had an ad-hoc project (small, but critical: providing electrical service to a distant point-of-service, availing sufficient electrical service to the temporary winter shelters--and water--for our horses), my financial resources were limited. I again contacted Prolectric, and spoke with Barry. As before, he provided me with short-term and long-term options (in order to work within my budget).I can happily report that, 1) all electrical services to our rural residence have remained flawless; 2) our horses have had "open water" to drink from this entire winter; and 3) we're preparing to run additional electrical service (once the weather and budget permit), at a price that is less than quoted from other Electrical contractors.
